April 2017 – 1 Minute Meditation

Any time you want to access that still point of equanimity within you – that place of simply being, of pure awareness that is free from the distractions of the monkey mind, try this:

– place the index and middle fingers of your right hand on your left wrist where you can feel our pulse (just below your thumb joint). Rest both hands in your lap and close your eyes. Allow your thoughts to come and go as they may without attaching to them…dis-identifying from them and letting them run in the background of your awareness.

 After about 1 minute of this mindfulness practice, your mind will be more clear, your body will be less tense and you’ll feel more at peace with yourself and the world.
